The Myron McKinley Legacy Concert Series is a regularly scheduled series of unique music performances, filmed before a live audience. Each performance is a once-in-a lifetime event, focusing on a specific theme or style under the musical direction of EARTH WIND AND FIRE Keyboardist and Musical Director, Myron McKinley and featuring a retinue of renowned special guests. The theme for this event is the SPEAKEASY and will feature contemporary songs arranged and performed in the styles of the roaring 20’s jazz era! From the music, to the set design to costumes, this event will transport you to one of the most dynamic and exciting eras in American Music!
The Myron McKinley Trio is a powerhouse group comprised of Myron McKinley (Piano/Keys), Ian Martin (Bass), and Stacey Lamont Sydnor (Drums/Percussion).As journeymen bandmates for some of the greatest groups and artists in music history, these three friends are now collaborating to make music of their own electrifying live audiences in the United States, Europe and the Far East.
About The Performers
Myron McKinley is a Juilliard trained pianist, producer, songwriter, film score composer and is the current musical director and keyboardist for legendary ensemble Earth Wind & Fire. He has toured extensively with the late Whitney Houston, Stanley Clarke, Chaka Khan, EnVogue and many others.
Sy Smith has proven throughout her career that an R&B artist can be progressive while remaining firmly rooted in tradition. Foremost a singer with a vocal range spanning five octaves, Smith began an unending succession of background gigs with Whitney Houston in the late ’90s, and has since worked closely with Grammy-winning trumpeter Chris Botti and Grammy-nominated group the Foreign Exchange, among dozens of other artists.
Rebecca has been described by many to have a chameleon-like quality to her voice, where she is able to deliver each song in a unique way, yet she has been blessed with a sound unlike anyone else. She has performed with some of the most sought-after musicians all over the world, touring with the Queen of percussion, Sheila E. since 2017, appeared in the Emmy-nominated show, “Let’s Go Crazy: The GRAMMY Salute to Prince”, and sang background vocals for Sir Elton John at the 2020 Academy Awards.
Adam Aejaye Jackson, a native of Detroit, Michigan, began singing in church at the early age of three. Through his dedication to the arts he has been blessed to learn, travel, record and share his gifts with many gifted artists such as: Juan Gabriel, Toni Braxton, Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis Jr, Charo, Melissa Manchester, David Foster, Josh Groban, to name a few
